  • Has double degree in Media Communication with emphasis in Marketing Communication from Webster University (Thailand/USA) MA - Marketing from Singapore.
  • Started his career as Client Servicing Executive at Electra Advertising followed by Production Manager at Flash Publication, Account Manger at Crayons Electra Nepal, and Marketing Manger at Shines Education Pte. Ltd. (Singapore), then, Account Manger at Thompson Nepal Pvt. Ltd.
  • Visiting faculty of KU-Dhulikhel, taught at the Singapore Campus of the European University.
  • A research enthuasist has conducted various marketing & impact researches in FMCG goods, services and social marketing.
  • Conducted a Training for Advertising Association of Nepal in 2005.
 

Suresh Pd. Acharya - Academic Director

Suresh Acharya
  • Ph. D. Scholar holds Master's in Mass Communication and Journalism, is a prominent journalist of the country. Mr. Acharya’s more than two decades of Journalistic experience accounts both in print & broadcast media including of Tarun, Ravibar, Swatantrata et al, Image Television & Communication Corner. Mr. Acharya is involved in Shepherd College from its very beginning & teaches Mass Communication Theory, Public Relation, Advertising and Broadcasting media. He is also a Trainer & the board member of Nepal Press Institute. Mr. Acharya- a champion in journalist movement- is the past President of Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) & immediate past Chairperson of Minimum Wage Committee to Media of Nepal Government.
 

Dr. Narendra B. Pal - Director

  • Ph. D. “The Role of Mass Media in Consolidation of Democratization Process in Nepal” TU: 2008
  • Former, ‘High School Supervisor,’ of Nepal Government as has a number of accomplishments in academic leadership. His initial endeavors include as Principal in Darchula followed by establishment of Deep Boarding High School in Butwal as Founder Principal. Prior to Shepherd Mr. Pal had established the College of Technology offering B. E. IT & BCA programs in Kathmandu. A member of Lions Club International and Life member of Nepal Red Cross Society have participated in number of international workshops and seminars including the World Press Institute, Minnesota (2006), Lions Clubs International Convention – Denver (1988) & Boston (2006), CISCO International Seminar (2001), New Delhi, India.

Kundan Aryal - Director

Kundan Aryal
  • The incumbent Executive Director of Nepal Television started his career as a volunteer editor of a youth magazine above two decades ago. Holder of MA in Mass Communication and Journalism has recently completed his M. Phil with focuses on Media Studies. He was the editor of well-known vernacular weeklies such as Chhalphal, Drishti and Budhabar as well as fortnightly newsmagazine Himal khabarpatrika and the editor-in-chief of Human Rights Year Book 2007. He was the coordinator of daily current affairs program Ghatana Ra Bichar in Radio Nepal and started Human Rights Education Radio program. Besides journalistic works and writings for academic journals he has authored a book on Cartoons in Nepali Press & co-authored another on Human Rights and Press. Apart from academic qualifications, Kundan has obtained professional journalism trainings from Danish School of Journalism and London School of Journalism for print and radio journalism respectively.

Pradeep K. Upadhayay - Director

Pradeep K. Upadhayay
  • Nepal’s pioneering sound specialist, graduated from Film and Television Institute of India (Sound recording and engineering) in late 70s after completion of Diploma in Electronics Engineering. Mr. Udadhaya is the leading sound specialist for recording & sound designing in Nepal’s film, TV and radio industry for almost 3 decades. Former employee of then Royal Nepal Film Corporation, Mr. Udadhaya is also a prominent educator and trainer of sound for broadcast journalism and sound engineering, Institute of engineering (TU), Pulchowk and Nepal Telecom Training Center.
