Message from Principal
Bachelor of Media Technology, a three-year academic course, exclusively focuses on “Mass Media Studies”. Once, students obtain this degree, they work efficiently in television, radios, newspapers, photojournalism, and in Internets. However, one needs rigorous study of mass media genres encompassed herewith.

Media are major sources of news and information for professionals, politicians, diplomats, business men, entertainers, human rights activists, health workers, environmentalists, security personnel, students, children, farmers, transporters, industrialists, and house wives. Media educate, train, aware, entertain, and provide platform to express peoples’ discontents and opinions. Scholars claim that democracy and media have symbiotic relationships.
Mass media are agents to transform a society positively or negatively. However, media must play positive role to strengthen social justice, maintain religious harmony, support human rights, national integrity, and remain on public forum. They should be committed to truth, and immediacy.
The status of fourth estate and watchdogs of democracy are credited only at their independent and unbiased behavior. They are required to strive for truth, justice, and voiceless class. They ought to work to expose corruption, embezzlements, and abuse of powers committed by power elites and elected officials simultaneously.
I wish once you have decided to study this program there should be a dream that you are going to stand in the front raw of society to empower people with healthy information and fight for irregularity and social evils.
Shepherd is proud that highly experienced media academicians, human-rights activists, and experts take classes. There is minimum infrastructure to put hands on. Fee is affordable and College is suitably located at Tinkune near Kantipur Publications.
You must have hunger to know and share it with global mass.
